Every year in the winter months, a Tent City is created neat Dhordo village called Rann Utsav.There used to be a village called 'Dhordo' where local villagers were struggling to find enough work to sustain their lives and what can you expect in the area which is either drawn under water during monsoon and rest of the time its covered under white salt!

Current version of Rann Utsav will be held from 1st November 2016 to 20th February 2017.

Kutch Mandvi is an important beach famous among travelers for peace and solitude. Mandvi has
beautiful white sand, serene locales and enchanting sunset views. Dist. from Tent City is approx.
140 kms one way.
11:00 AM to 12:30 PM VISIT VIJAY VILAS PALACE
The great palace of Mandvi was built in 1929 by highness Maharao Khengarji, The Maharao of Kutch,
as a summer resort. This palace has domed terrace that gives a panoramic view of the sea. It presents
eccentric blend of architectural styles.It has interiors made like offices where the king used to work, it has
rooms for entertainment and loyal living quarters.
01:00 PM to 02:00 PM VISIT SHYAMJI KRISHNA VARMA MEMORIAL
Shyamji Krishna Varma was born on 04th October,1857 in Mandvi Town of Kutch District of Gujarat. He
was one of the foremost freedom fighters in the history of freedom movement of India with high sense of
patriotism and selfless service for nation. He had organized a revolutionary center in “India House” at
London and propagated the cause of India’s independence through his writings in his publication journal
called “The Indian Sociologist”.The memorial’s objective is to pay tribute to the contribution of Shyamji
Krishna Varma and also to educate the young generation about those great Indians who sacrificed everything
for the country’s freedom.

Day 3

Kala Dungar is the highest point in Kutch.

Pickup from Bhuj [Railway Station / Airport] to Dhordo Tent City. [All transfers shall be in A.C. Coaches on S.I.C. basis]
Drop from Dhordo to Bhuj [Railway Station/Airport],
Complimentary refreshments will be served en route Dhordo Tent City in the bus.
3 Night/4 Day Package includes Lunch, High-Tea & Dinner on 1st Day, Morning Tea, Breakfast, Lunch, High-Tea & Dinner on 2nd & 3rd Day and Morning Tea & Breakfast on 4th Day. The meals will be served as per scheduled time in respective dining areas and missed meals will not be refunded or extended on 4th Day.
Visit to White Ran on Day 1; visit to Mandvi on Day 2 and visit to Kala Dungar on Day 3 in 3 Night/4 Days package are fixed & cannot be interchanged. Guest who have missed the visit as per Itinerary may be included on request on a chargeable basis.
Accommodation in Tent is on twin sharing basis.
Two bottles of drinking water per day per tent.

Bhuj Sightseeing Places

SRI SWAMI NARAYAN TEMPLE
(Approx. time 20 minutes) Made of marble, intricate carvings adorn the pillars and ceiling of the most expensive temple built in the state of Gujarat recently.

AINA MAHAL
(Approx. time 30 minutes) Aina Mahal is an 18th century palace in Bhuj, Gujarat, India. It is located next to the Prag Mahal. The walls of the Palace are of White Marble covered with mirrors separated by gilded ornaments with shades of Venetian glass.

BHUJODI (HANDICRAFT VILLAGE & CRAFT PARK)
(Approx. time 40 minutes) Hiralaxmi Craft Park - A vision to preserve, restore and promote the arts of Kutch and making them accessible to masses. This Handicraft Village is where live artisans can be seen creating their crafts.

The cost of entry ticket (if any) will be borne by the guest.

In case guest has to reach Railway Station / Airport / Bus Stand earlier for their onward journey, they will have to arrange on their own. Time of any such departure to be notified at the reception at the time of check-in.
